Keychains are created from various strips of discarded scrap wood, most from a fine furniture maker in Lancaster County, PA. The long strips are sanded smooth and burned with 15,000 volts of electricity to produce the Lichtenberg fractals on the surface.
 
After the fractal burn is applied, keychains are cut apart into various sizes, sanded, shaped and polyurethaned.
